BE: Strong

April 29, 2020

I remember reading this Bible verse in Sunday School: Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

I thought to myself: Well, that doesn’t sound like much fun.

I think all of us hope that somehow we’re going to be able to avoid the fear and trembling part of life.

We can’t.

And that’s actually a good thing.

BE: Awake

April 27, 2020

We cannot really be present, we cannot really be awake, unless we recognize that Life is a Whole, a circle, an infinite cycle. This means that we can’t ignore the things we don’t want to deal with, sweep things we’re afraid of under the rug, avoid the tough stuff, distract ourselves from the challenges. We can’t because they will inevitably cycle back around and surface back up.

BUT we also can’t beat ourselves up when we fail. After all, as my favorite aunt used to quip, “We haven’t ascended yet!”

So to BE awake is to be, in each moment, as awake as we can be. To keep waking up. To notice when we are drifting off more quickly. And when we have fallen asleep, to wake ourselves up with kindness and compassion and then keep waking up.

BE: Hope

April 23, 2020

I hope — have a feeling of deep trust — that if we can all be willing to release all our little opinions — we will hear the same answers as the birds and the flowers and the trees seem to hear. And then remember that Love is the only true Source and ReSource.

That we will all lean in with hope and faith, with understanding and belief. And do what is right and best and true. FOR OUR WORLD! Together.

BE: We

April 7, 2020

When we practice, we shift out of focusing on a problem we have to living as if we are already the solution. We shift of out fear of lack into living Love.

And that’s why this practice can help heal the world. BE: We.

Live as if you are not some separate human will focused on your agenda. You’re not separate and if you believe that your agenda is separate from that of the rest of us and the animals and trees and fish and birds, then this isn’t going get any better.

Live as if every single person on the planet — let me repeat this part, because it’s huge — every single person on the planet NO EXCEPTIONS — is as lovable and deserving of love and life as you. And then send love to them like you would yourself.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Love your neighbor as much as you wish your neighbor would love you. Even if they have a sign up in your front yard that you disagree with. Even if they play loud music. Love them as you wish they would love you.

To BE WE, we have to SEE WE. We have to see ourselves in one another. And we have to practice this every single day.

We’re at the 11th hour here, folks. We need to get cracking

BE: Patient

April 6, 2020

We live in an instant gratification two-day delivery world. We want it, we get it. Even if we have to go into debt to do it. Even if what we want isn’t good for us. And certainly with precious little thought about whether what we want is or isn’t good for someone else our planet.

This is what we all need to learn how to change!

When we are patient, we learn to wait without complaint. To do this is a game changer.

The world needs us to become world-class Love practitioners by practicing Love, leaning into Love. This is the Love that heals our world! Let's be steadfast in Love for one another and our world! #LoveViral #Loveheals

BeGentle

BE: Gentle

April 3, 2020

BE: Gentle.

Be gentle with others who are having challenging days.

Be gentle with yourself if you do not show up to your day, to another person, to an encounter, to your spiritual practice, to anything as you hoped you would.

Be gentle with your goals and expectations today.

Be gentle with your children, your animals, your family, your friends.

Be gentle with the world however you experience it.

STILL.png

BE: Still

April 1, 2020

Today’s practice is BE STILL.

To be still is to practice deep silence and calm.

Let’s practice being still when we’re anxious. Still when we’re afraid. Still when we feel that doing is the only thing that will distract us. Still when we want to be distracted. Still when we’re irritated. Still when we’re antsy. Still when we wish this was all over. Still when we can’t imagine how we can keep going. Still when we’re grieving. AND let’s practice being still when we’re elated and hopeful and healing and grateful and walking and running and waking up and going to sleep and eating and crying and laughing and talking.

Why? Because to learn to be still is to understand that deep within each of us is a Wellspring of Love from which all calm, grace, peace, confidence, hope, healing, and love is born and manifests. It is our disconnection from this Wellspring that has seemingly disconnected us from one another and our world. It is what has sent us off on wild goose chases and hunting for Holy Grails. It is what has caused us to believe that war is necessary and our neighbor could ever be our enemy.

So to practice being STILL is to reconnect with the Love that will heal.
